Someone Has Written About Me...!

Would you believe it?
Someone has written a great things about me over 400 years ago!
How cool is that?
It has actually made me feel a little bit famous, although I wish I had more of a crowd outside my house, In fact I actually wish I had a crowd outside my house.

Anyway, I thought you might like to read the things about me. It was written by the great Nastradamus, (click on the link to know about him) from the Prophecy,

So, Here it is

Nostradamus Repository : Century I, Quatrain L

De l'aquatique triplicité naistra,
D'vn qui fera le Ieudy pour sa feste:
Son bruit, loz, regne, sa puissance croistra,
Par terre & mer aux Oriens tempeste.

From the three water signs will be born a man
who will celbrate Thursday as his holiday.
His renown, praise, rule and power will grow
on land and sea, bringing trouble to the East.

Here Three water signs, means "Peninsula". South India, Tamil Nadu is the only peninsula in the entire globe where three seas meet a point and stretch away. The great leader who will wipe out our enemies will hence be a south Indian who offers worship on Thursdays. It is easy to see why Nostradamus specifically mentions Thursday as the holy day. It is only Hindus who consider Thursday sacred. Muslims pray on Friday actually every day; Jews bow before God on Saturday; Christians bawl hymns on Sunday at church. Nostradamus is making it clear here that the conqueror will be a Tamizh Paiyan (Tall and handsome men) from South India. He will bind Asia together under his rule. Here,

At this point, You might have a doubt about
Tamizh paiyan. You're right "There are plenty of Tamizh paiyan's from south india". but,

"I am the only one Tall and handsome Tamizh paiyan from South India"

English-u Movie...!

Like the few other million people in this world, I too, watched ''The TWILIGHT Saga'' (Movie) And continue to watch reruns whenever I can. The time I used to see the film, Amma would brush it off as 'just another TV show' and never really bothered.

Couple of days back, when I was watching a re-run, I didn't really expect a change.
Big Mistake.
I was seeing the re-run most intently and my mother plopped next to me.

"Ennada paakara?"
[What you watching?]

"Twilight, ma"

"Nee eppavum ithayave paarthutu iruka? nalla padama?"
[You've been watching this movie often? Good movie?]

"Sema movie ma"

She watches for sometime and also sees me giggling at Bella Swan' antics.

"I dream about being with you forever." - Bella SwanTwilight ❤

"Ennada solraanga? Onnume purila. Avan yaaru?"
[What are they saying? I don't get it. And who's that guy?]

"Edward Cullen, ma"

"Apo andha ponnu?"
[Then who's the girl?]

" Bella Swan"

"Adhu avaaloda kozhandhaiya?"
[Is that their baby(Young Bella)?]

"Aama"
[Ya]

"So Edward Cullen-um Bella Swan-um husband wife dhaane?"
[So they are husband-wife right?]

"Illa ma"
[No ma]

My mothers eyes go wide.

"Ennada solra, avunga rendu paerum orey veetula-la irukkanga, KOZHANDHA irukku, aana avunga husban wife illaya?"
[What are you saying? They are in the same house, they have a BABY, but they aren't husband-wife?]

My mouth turns dry. I try to explain it to her.

"Illa ma, live-in relationship maari vechukoyen."
[No ma, it's like a live-in relationship]

"Apo ava rendu paerum orutharum orutharum ................... (fill in blanks)?"
[So they've slept with each other?]

I blink at her bluntness.

"Apdinnu vechukoyen"
[Yeah I guess]

"Aama, andha Bella Swan oda amma appakku theriyuma? Kozhandha paththi?"
[Ok, Bella Swan’s parents know about the baby?]

Clearly, all those Sun TV mega serials have left a deep impact on her.

"Haan, theriyum"
[yea, they know]

"Cha, ponna control panna therila, enna amma appa? Indha Americans-ey ipdidhaan, culture-ey illa!"
[What, don't they know how to control their daughter? God!]

"Uh, sollamudiyaathu. Maybe they were ok with it"

"What ok? Love pannu, seri oththukalaam, aana kalyanam pannama kozhandha peththupaangala? Andha Bella Swan thappichcha, If I were her mother, things would have been different."

I swallow. And change the channel.

"Yaen channel-a maathara? Adha vei, nee enna paakarennu enakku theriyanum."
[Why you changing the channel? Keep it, I want to see what you watch]

My mother continues to watch it and give her feedback, while I continue to swallow my own spit.

"Andha ponnu yaaru?"

"Victoria" ma"

"Ava andha payyanoda dhaana irundha? Yenna paeru...aan, James. Avan yen indha aal oda irukka ippo?"
[Wasn't she with that guy, James? Why is she with this guy now?]

"Illa ma, David avaloda ex-boyfriend"

"Pazhaya boyfriend dhaana? Yen kiss adikaranga apdina?"
[Ex boyfriend right? then why is she kissing him?]

"Innum pudichirko ennamo"
[Maybe she still likes him]

"Chi chi, enna pombala ava."

Antha kal onnu irunthuthe athu yenga ma
[Where is that Granite Ma?]

Yethukku?
[For what?]

“Indha TV-a odaikka”
[Want to crash this TV]

"Ammaaa..."

And it didn't stop. She just went on. And on. And on. I do believe that it was the longest half hour of my life. And I ran out of saliva to swallow as well.
When the credits came on (finally), she left the living room saying something about how "Pasanga indha maari padatha paathu kettu kuttichavura poraanga".

I made a mental note that day to watch the film on the computer from now.

P.S: Mother will be Mother.

This Is Not A Love Story...

I'm typing this very furiously to look busy. Why, you may ask. For starters, I'm kinda done with my present assignment and hence jobless, but there's a very very hot girl sitting across my cubicle and I need to atleast act like I'm busy (impression, ma). Ironically, The shop television started playing a song Kanmani Anbodu from Guna while I'm thinking about what to write, Accidentally I just started remembering about you (KANMANI, When I try to forget you, I just keep on remembering) and got the idea about what to write it, It seems. Yes !!!

Dear Precious one! (This one’s for you)

When I think of you, poetry pours and spills in my heart like a waterfall but when I try to sit down to write it the letters, the words….. (Just don’t come) haahaah haahaah…!

You are undoubtedly one of the (Only) most beautiful girl we (Me and my friend Ashokumar) have ever seen in EBETi. When we first saw you, for that moment we felt as our heart have stopped beating, and couldn't take eyes off from such a splendor beauty. Milky white complexion, lovely black eyes, black hairs dribbling from your ears with some of the locks falling upon your cheeks. Okay..! Okay..! This is not a Akbar, Anarkali, Jehangir (Triangle Love) story. It’s beyond that, SO Pure. In fact, I’ve just made my friend fall in love with you (Like, One of the Tamil movie comedy actors) From time to time we admire you from distance and always wish the best for you.

KANMANI, we hope that you do well in your GATE Examination (As Usual).
but, SADness is we're really missing you...!

On the bright side, Noted film lyricist Vaali was written about YOU, and you can tell everybody that this is your song, Here though It is..!

Lover

But when I try to sit down to write it

When I think of you, poetry overflows
When I think of how to write it, I can’t find the words

Precious one, it is me, your lover, writing this affectionate letter

It’s just love
aah haa en kaadhal ennannu sollaama
Ah, Without expressing my love
aenga aenga
I just yearn
azhugaiya varudhu
and feel like crying
aana naa azhudhu
But if I cry
en sogam unna thaakkidumo
I fear my sorrow may affect you
appadinnu nenakkum pothu
And when I think of that
varra azhuga kooda
Whatever tears I could cry
ninnuduthu
Just stop
aahhhaaahh
manithar unarndhukolla ithu manitha kaadhal alla
For mere humans to understand, this is no mortal love!
adhaiyum thaandi
It’s beyond that
punithaamaanathu
So pure!
undaana kaayam engum thannaalae maari pona
All injuries that happen to me heal themselves
maayam enna ponmaanae ponmaanae
What magic is that dear, dear one?
enna kaayam aana podhum en maeni thaangik kollum
Whatever wounds I have, my body can take it
undhan maeni thaangaadhu sendhaenae
You can’t take it, honey
endhan kaadhal ennavendru sollaamal aenga aenga azhugai vandhadhu
When I couldn’t express my love, I felt like crying
endhan sogam unnaith thaakkum endrennumbodhu vandha
But when I feared my sorrow saddening you
azhugai ninradhu
The crying stopped
manidhar unarndhu kolla
For humans to understand

This is no mortal love
adhaiyum thaandi punidhamaanadhu
It’s far more pure than that
abiraamiyae thaalaattum saamiyae naandhaanae theriyumaa?
Sweetheart, soothing goddess, I’m the one, do you know?

(Another endearment), you are half of Shiva, would you understand that?

abiraamiyae thaalaattum saamiyae naandhaanae theriyumaa?
Sweetheart, soothing goddess, I’m the one, do you know?
unakku puriyuma?
 Do you understand?

Treat this friendship as chastity...

I feel dreadful. My best friend of 5 years and Rowdy par extraordinaire, K, is leaving to Australia for her PG today. No more of K's unabashed honesty, in your face comments and unadulterated craziness for the next 2 years. (Apparently her coming in the summer is not too sure because she has to work there for a bit. )

I mean, when me and my friend went to her house to say goodbye we were all cheerful, we even made so much fun of her, but only when we left her place did we feel so terrible.

I hate this feeling inside, why am I the one who has to say goodbye?

Hereafter...

Who will I hang out with now?
Who will give me company to make fun of random people on the road?
Who's going to spur me into doing nutcase things?
Who can I safely complain to about everyone else in the planet?

Curses to all you abandoning International PG students!

Sniffle.

I need a hug & beer!
B...

P.S: The title of this post is inspired by a popular Tamil song (which is related to this Post/Topic)

***Rough translation (only the second verse has been translated)

What If, the family and relatives are come nor go away
(பந்தம் என்ன சொந்தம் என்ன போனா என்ன வந்தா என்ன)

I am not the one who worries about relatives
(உறவுக்கெல்லாம் கவலப்பட்ட ஜன்மம் நானில்ல)

I have you as a friend who gives me love and affection
(பாசம் வெக்க நேசம் வெக்க தோழன் உண்டு வாழவெக்க)

Here, I do not have anyone other relation than him

(அவனைத்தவிர உறவுக்காரன் யாரும் இங்கில்லே)

As long as I am alive , even my life

(உள்ளமட்டும் நானே என் உசிரக் கூடத்தானே)

I will give away happily if my friend asks for it

(என் நண்பன் கேட்டா வாங்கிக்கன்னு சொல்லுவேன்)

The food served by my friend runs my blood

(என் நண்பன் போட்ட சோறு நிதமும் தின்னேன் பாரு)

I will treat this friendship as chastity

(நட்பைக் கூடக் கற்பைப் போல எண்ணுவேன்)

Crush...

My Cousin was watching TV when the channel started playing a song from Aayutha Ezhuthu...

It was probably the millionth time I was watching it, as well as the millionth time I had that stupid grin on my face when I saw Trisha prance about awkwardly. More than Trisha, I think that grin was for Meera, her character in the movie. Meera pretty much epitomized every thing I've ever wanted in a girl - Classy, intelligent and most importantly, her Behavioral pattern.

So actuall-a paatha (Samantha in Neethaane En Ponvasantham,
Yes. Same feel) my first crush wasn't Trisha. It was Meera.

Who was yours?

10 Most Sightly & Comely Flowers in the World...

The most beautiful flowers, in conjunction with their design and color schemes, create feelings that enhance our mood. They are a simple and sincere way to lift our spirits. The most beautiful flowers can bring a smile to someone faces who has been sick or having a rough day. The presence of flowers has a profound impact on ones state of mind and emotions.
Flowers trigger feelings of happiness and help us cope with anger and pain. They help us stay calm and relaxed. They can also help relieve stress.
Here I have compiled some of the most beautiful flowers in the world. It was a very tight list. I may have missed out a lot so please if you know other beautiful flower that I missed share with us in comment section. Thanks

1.Rose

Roses are the most celebrated flowers in the world. The big, colored roses have been since centuries preferred by all categories of people at any event what so ever. They have many symbols, depending on their colors. Roses may not be exotic or new to you, but they sure are  among the most beautiful flowers in the world and this is exactly why we all love them.

2.Bleeding Hearts
These whimsical, almost fairy-like blossoms are a traditional favorite in shady gardens. The flowers are either red, pink or white and appear in April-June.

3.The Bird of Paradise

Strelitzia is a genus of five species of perennial plants, native to South Africa. A common name of the genus is bird of paradise flower, because of a supposed resemblance of its flowers to the bird of paradise. In South Africa it is commonly known as a crane flower.

4.Blue Bells

In spring, many European woods are covered by dense carpets of this flower; these are commonly referred to as “bluebell woods”. It is thought that they were named by the romantic poets of the 19th century, who felt they symbolized solitude and regret.

5.Calla Lily

The calla lily is simple, as all elegant things. The splendor of it was acknowledged by Greeks as well: they named this plant “kallos”, which means “beauty”. Even though it makes a great houseplant, you should be careful for children and animals: callas are very toxic, if eaten!

6.Lily of the Valley

A delicate and fragrant sign of spring, the Lily of the Valley has inspired a number of legends. One such Christian legend explains that the tears that Mary shed at the cross turned to Lilies of the Valley, prompting the flower to sometimes be referred to as "Our Lady's Tears." Another legend tells of Lilies of the Valley springing from the blood of St. George during his battle with the dragon.

7.Pulmeria

Pulmeria is the flower of a small tropical tree. This 5 petal flower looks very, very beautiful, and it may be easily cultivated. All it needs is a lot of sun and very little water. It has a powerful perfume, especially at night and this is one of the reasons for which this little flower is so unique.

8. Cherry blossoms

The most treasured flowers in Japan, cherry blossoms are truly wonderful to look at. There is nothing more poetic than a flowering cherry tree . It is not a surprise that Japanese people, with their sensitive soul and their inclination for beauty and peaceful sights, prefer these flowers above all others.

9.Tulip

The is one of the world's most easily recognized and loved flowers. The tulip is a perennialbulbous plant with showy flowers in the genus Tulipa, which comprises 109 species and belongs to the family Liliaceae. The genus's native range extends from as far west as Southern EuropeNorth AfricaAnatolia, and Iran to the Northwest of China.
